How to connect our insulation removal bags

How to Connect Insulation Vacuum Bags to Your Machine

Properly connecting your insulation vacuum bags prevents blowouts, ensures even filling, and maximizes removal efficiency. Follow these product-specific instructions for a secure, leak-free connection every time.

Connecting Tough Bags Multipurpose Bags

We recommend using a short section of hose (12-18 inches) to connect directly to your insulation removal machine. This extension helps eliminate blowouts and allows the removal bags to fill more evenly.

Connecting Tough Bags Collar and Dust Guard Pro

Both the Tough Bags Collar and Dust Guard Pro feature an easy-connect collar for quick attachment to your removal machine.

Connection Steps:

  1. Slide the bag collar onto the exit hose or machine outlet
  2. Ensure the collar fits snugly over the hose
  3. Secure with duct tape or a hose clamp for an airtight seal
  4. Test the connection before starting full operation

Pro Tip: While a short extension hose (like with the Multipurpose bags) can improve performance, it's not required for these collar-style bags.

Connecting Trailer 255 – Dump Trailer Vacuum Bag

The Trailer 255 is designed for large-scale removal projects and features two inlet ports for maximum flexibility.

Single Machine Setup:

  1. Run your machine's exit hose into one inlet port
  2. Seal the unused port with duct tape for an airtight connection
  3. Position the bag in your trailer with ports accessible

Dual Machine Setup:

  1. Run both machine exit hoses into the bag's two inlet ports
  2. Secure each connection with tape or clamps
  3. Start both machines and monitor for even filling

Port Positioning Options:

  • Ports facing up: Traditional setup, easy access
  • Ports on the side: Our recommended method - fill through the top inlet while keeping the lower outlet closed for better bag expansion
